Rudy was probably the happiest man on the planet Sunday, March 20, 2005.
As you can see in the following photos, he was full of smiles and laughter the
whole day. What else would you expect him to say but, “you guys need to come
back more often! Let’s do this again next year!”
The last event of the day, 10x10 dodge ball wasn’t photographed due to the
danger involved. The young guys took 2 out of 3 games in a hilarious barn ball
version of the age-old game. The old guys walked away, muttering, “we would
have kicked their arses in the 70’s!”
If any of the young players would care to take up competitive, sand volleyball,
follow this link: www.volleyballworld.org. Following
in Rudy’s footsteps, Mike and Diane Houghton open up their backyard sand courts
for open play Sunday nights at seven in June. We will post our summer schedule
in the near future on our website.
