Okay, so Mike and Diane's back yard is clearly THE place to play volleyball in the Capital District. But if you feel the need to stray beyond Sprakers, here are some regional events you might enjoy.

January
  • January 24th, Sunday - Cap-City Classic Coed Reverse 4's
    • Format: Fours, reverse coed (minimum one woman and one man per team)
    • Location: Sage College Neff Center
    • Sponsor: Legion Volleyball Club
    • Contact: Chris Hosley
    • More Info:
      • Fund raiser for nationals
      • $120/team
      • individual AVP Next memberships required ($10 if you sign up online, $15 on tournament day), good for CDGD tournaments too

    • Format: co-ed reverse fours (two girls, two guys)
    • Location: Greater Glenville YMCA

      Cost - $80 a team
      Deadline to sign up: 1/27/10

  • February 13th, Saturday - Reach Out for Youth Fundraiser
    • Format: co-ed reverse fours (two girls, two guys)

April
  • April 17th, Saturday - Shaker Indoor Sixes Tournament
    • Format: co-ed sixes (at least one female)
    • Divisions: Advance Competitive, Competitive, Advance Recreational
    • Location: Shaker Junior High, Latham
    • Contact: Get a registration form online or contact vsmisme@yahoo.com with any questions.
    • More Info: Cost - $140 per team (up to 7 players), $10 per additional player over 7.
      Deadline to sign up: 4/2/10

  • April 18th, Sunday - Hangman Nationals Fundraiser
    • Format: co-ed reverse sixes (3 male, 3 female)
    • Location: Ravena High School

      Cost - $120 a team, individual AVP Next memberships required ($10 if you sign up online), good for CDGD tournaments
      The $120 entry fee must be received by Friday April 11th, 2010 to ensure acceptance
